MSc Information Systems Management (Greenw)
Progression at SBCS:
- BSc (Hons) Computing and Information Systems (University of Greenwich)
- MSc Information Systems Management (University of Greenwich)
For some people, SBCS was probably just a school. However, for me and a lot of my friends, it has become … HOME. From day one at SBCS, I knew that this was a place where I can be comfortable in seeking assistance from the lecturers and staff members in helping me achieve and excel at all of my educational endeavours. I would sincerely like to thank SBCS for the people I have met and friendships I have made along my journey, that I know will last forever. I look forward to furthering my education at SBCS in the near future.
After completing my Associate Degree in Information Technology I was still very unaware of what opportunities were available for career advancement in the field and which avenue would best suit me, I thought that IT was either repairs or programming. I took this uncertainty with me as I entered SBCS to pursue my BSc. in Computing and Information Systems with the University of Greenwich, just wanting to finish my degree and move on, but what I gained was a depth of knowledge and exposure to the possibilities in Information Technology that I never knew were possible. In pursuing my BSc. followed by and MSc. in Information Systems Management, I was challenged to think for my self, innovate, grow and explore technology, by lecturers, through the curriculum and project assignments. All the lecturers were exposed to the industry and applied theory to real life careers which helped me to discover my niche of Business Analysis Consultancy in the Financial Services Sector. These degrees at SBCS aided my professional growth and helped me to not discount the work experience I already gained that wasn’t IT related but apply technology to it, the methodologies and best practices learnt also helped develop this.
