Course Brief
The learning outcomes will be achieved through an exploration of key elements of strategic decision-making focusing on the interconnected and complex aspects of the business environment. Indicative content:

-crisis management and business resilience

-strategic decision-making
- 60 Contact Hours
By the end of this module successful students will be able to do the following:
1. Analyse and evaluate the key factors that impact business sustainability, resilience and growth.
2. Demonstrate a critical understanding of effective crisis management approaches
3. Apply a range of analytical skills to understanding the complex inter-related functions of business.
The module will be assessed by a business management report and this will test all learning outcomes from the module.

In many organisations, employees are their most valuable assets. And for this reason, effective management of human resources is essential for every company. Human Resources helps in structuring teams, it builds the organisation's culture and it helps people with engagement and development. Human resource management creates a lot of difference in enhancing the productivity of the employees.
The BA (Hons) Business and Human Resource Management programme can be earned in 18 months on a Part Time basis. As a graduate of this programme, you will have excellent skills and knowledge in strategies for enhancing employee relations, change management, developing training models and human resource planning.

Overview of the Business Management pathways
Including BA (Hons) Business Management (Top-Up)The content of the course mirrors the Sunderland-based equivalent course Business and Management. This course builds on your existing knowledge and prepares you for managerial roles and professional roles in sales, finance, general business and the public sector. You will undertake four broad-based modules related to business consultancy projects, strategic leadership and collaboration, managing business continuity and resilience as well as leading and implementing organisational change.
This programme is based at study centres, which makes it distinct from our programme with the same title that is based at the University of Sunderland. Courses delivered at study centres share the same ethos, material and approach as those delivered at Sunderland itself.
This course is an outstanding way to gain the benefits of an education from our University without having to move to Sunderland.
