Welcome to SBCS!
Our ACCA/FIA orientation program is designed to support new FIA & ACCA accounting students as they begin their journey at SBCS towards a successful career.
Presentations will be done by ATEC administrators who will be available to answer questions, listen to students’ concerns, and take them on a tour of the school’s facilities.
Parents are welcome to attend this session as well.

Welcome to SBCS! The undergraduate orientation program for our University of Sunderland Business qualifications provides the information and resources to ensure a successful engagement with your studies.
Presentations will be done by senior administrators who will be available to answer questions, listen to students’ concerns, and take them on a tour of the school’s facilities.

SBCS Graduation 2019
DATE AND VENUE

- Hyatt Regency Hotel, Port of Spain, Trinidad
Graduands are only eligible to register upon receipt of the official invitation email.
- Graduand Ticket: $950
- Guest Ticket: $750
Only Linx, credit card or cheque payments will be accepted.
Registration is OPEN and takes place at the Admissions and Advisory office, Champs Fleurs Campus
Hours for registration:
- 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday
- 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday
- 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday
ACADEMIC DRESS & GUESTS
Academic Dress
In addition to purchasing your tickets, you will also be required to don academic dress for the ceremony.
Here are some additional details on the collection and wearing of your graduation gowns:
Attire: What to Wear?
For female Graduands dresses or long pantsuits are acceptable with shoes having sensible heels, given the periods of standing and walking involved on the day.
For male Graduands, formal wear/lounge suits are acceptable.
Please note: short pants, skirts mid-thigh and above, trainers and jeans are not acceptable. Please be guided accordingly.
Distribution of Gowns & Hoods
When you purchase your graduation tickets, you are measured for your academic robe. These measurements are used in the selection of your gowns and hoods, which will be distributed at our Champs Fleurs campus on the following dates and times:
- Monday, October 21, 2019 | University of Greenwich and University of London | 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM
- Tuesday, October 22, 2019 | University of Sunderland | 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM
- Wednesday, October 23, 2019 | Heriot-Watt University | 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM
Please pay close attention to the dates and times indicated.
Guest Tickets
If you are yet to purchase your tickets, a maximum of two (2) guests is still permitted for each graduand.
If you are bringing children, please note that they are welcomed to attend under the following provisions:
- Children over the age of five (5) are acceptable to attend;
- All children must be accompanied by an adult;
- A guest ticket is required to be purchased for each eligible child attending the ceremony.
Please note: the formal aspect of the ceremony is carded to be approximately two (2) hours long, which may be unsuitable for some children. Out of respect for other guests we request that children should be taken outside if they become unsettled during the ceremony so as not to disturb proceedings.

HSE Seminar: Mental Health & Well-being
SBCS in collaboration with the University of Greenwich and IOSH will be hosting another seminar in our series of guest lectures.
This session focuses on ‘Mental Health and Well-being” and will be presented by Jason Maitland (Chairman – IOSH Caribbean Branch) and Dr David Thomas (Interim Head of Built Environment Department – University of Greenwich.
