Dr. Prahalad Sooknanan is an Associate Professor with approximately thirty (30) year’s experience as a teacher, academician, and practitioner in the field of Communications. He read for the MA degree in Mass Communication at University of Leicester, England and was later awarded the Ph.D. degree in Mass Communication by the School of Communication Studies, Bowling Green State University, USA through a doctoral fellowship from the Organization of American States. Dr. Sooknanan is a former Visiting Assistant Professor of Communication in the Department of Communication, University of Toledo, USA. He also served as an Assistant Professor of Communication in the Department of English and Communication, State University of New York, USA.
He has taught courses in Communication at national tertiary institutions and currently serves as the senior local tutor for the MA degree in Mass Communication for the University of Leicester’s distance education programme. He has published several articles in scholarly journals and presented his research at international conferences.
