Mr. Moonesh Lutchman has been a teacher in Mathematics and Information Technology for over 20 years. A former Further Additional National Scholarship winner, he holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics & Computer Science (double Major) and has taught hundreds of CSEC, CAPE and BSc students.
Starting at his alma mater Fatima College, he has taught Mathematics from Forms 1 to 6. At the University of the West Indies, he was a demonstrator, tutor and assistant lecturer in both the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. Over the past 8 years at SBCS, he has taught Mathematics and Computing courses for both Engineering and Information Technology. His specialities include Mathematics, Software Development, Problem Solving, Programming, Web Development and Databases.
A natural storyteller, he has developed an ability to explain complex concepts to students using everyday and often amusing relatable examples. His classes are highly interactive and students are encouraged to become self motivated, to cultivate a growth mindset and to grow by developing and supporting each other.
In terms of industry experience, Mr. Lutchman brings over 12 years as a professional Full Stack Software Engineer. He has worked with clients from the US Healthcare, Insurance and Legal sectors as well as the local Education, Engineering and Music sectors.
Mr. Lutchman currently lectures the Mathematics and Software Development courses within the Diploma in Computing (SBCS), Higher National Diploma in Computing (Pearson) as well as the BSc (Hons) Computing & Information Systems programmes from the University of Greenwich and the University of London.
