Happy 59th Independence Day, Trinidad & Tobago!

Our motto, “Together We Aspire, Together We Achieve”, is as valid today as it was in 1962 when we began our journey to nationhood. Over this period, we have had many great moments and a fair number of setbacks and challenges; however, through it all, our nation has endured and progressed.

The pandemic has been a challenge like no other that has forever altered our world. Though from history, we know that the world has been upended many times in the past, and on each occasion, we have recovered and soared in future years to greater heights.

Now more than ever, we need to work together and focus on what unites us as a nation as opposed to what divides us, so that we can ensure a brighter future for all our citizens in the ensuing years.
