Executive Management of SBCS, programme administrators, lecturers and students of the Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University Masters programmes met at our Champs Fleurs Campus for a Programme Committee Meeting, on Friday, April 15, 2016.
This biannual meeting provides a forum for all in attendance to review the quality of academic support and the overall performance results of the programmes when compared to the global performance. Among the topics discussed were:
– Review of the December 2015 exam analysis
– Labour Market Discussion
– New developments
A notable remark coming out of these discussions was the SBCS tuition pass rate being higher than the global pass rate for most of the tuition courses. Additionally, it was noted that an SBCS student received the 2nd highest mark in Strategic Planning, globally. This module was taught by Mr. Sean Fouche.
The current students and graduate who joined the meeting were asked to provide feedback on their experiences at SBCS. During this part of the session, noteworthy comments included:

– A commendation that world-class guidance is given by SBCS lecturers;
– Students commended SBCS for being a learner centric institution as most of them have been previously enrolled in courses and can attest to positive changes made over the years;
– Graduate, Mr. Jean Lavine confirmed that he has been a student of SBCS since 1999 and would be willing to speak with new and current students with regards to his positive experience while pursuing several programmes at the institution.
We thanked all participants for their time and participation, and efforts would be made to implement recommendations provided during this meeting.
