As part of SBCS’ initiative to transform our students into innovative, ethical and creative lifelong learners, our full time students are exposed to a number of Life Skills training courses to enhance their skills base; Introduction to Events Management being one of them.
On Friday, March 8, 2013 our full time ABE students participated in practical exercises, intended to showcase their ability to not only plan, prepare, design and execute an event but also work together as a team.
The themes of the events that they were tasked to manage included:
The entire exercise was overseen by their lecturer, Ms. Lyana St. Bernard and attended by the wider full time student population and staff of SBCS’ Course Administration and Student Services units.
In the end, the students’ efforts produced successful and promising results.
It is such activities as these that serve to reinforce our ongoing commitment to developing well-rounded, work-ready professionals at SBCS; truly a great place to learn.
