Champs Fleurs – SBCS Center for Information Technology and Engineering (CITE) held a free Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Seminar on Friday September 11th, 2009, from 10:00am – 11:30am. Mr. Shiva Parasram (A+, Network +,I-Net +, EBiz+, Security +,MCP, MCSA, Master CIW Site, CCNA, MCS, CEH, ECSA) the facilitator explained the benefits of becoming a CEH as well as the pre- requisites for entry such as A+, Network + and Security +. He also made it abundantly clear that un-authorized Hacking is illegal and offenders will be dealt with harshly by the law. The highest level one can achieve is the Licensed Penetration Tester (LPT) which is the most prestigious certification for Penetration Testing Professionals. If one becomes a certified LPT you can pay a relatively small fee of 500USD to become a member of a “Tiger Team”. Mr. Parasram mentioned that an LPT can do a consulting assignment for over 4 days and get compensated between 15,000USD – 30,000USD. For further information you can visit www.eccouncil.org
