ICATT Windball Cricket Competition

Published: 12:00 AM on September 10, 2012

SBCS was proudly represented by our ACCA/FIA students at the ICATT T20 Windball Cricket competition, which was held on Independence Day 2012 at the National Cricket Centre in Couva. Our team was captained by Adrian Mohammed, who fielded a brave team against three other ACCA Approved Learning Centres.

In the two matches Team SBCS played on the day, we went up against the Students Accountancy Centre and the Professional School of Accounting Limited. Student Services is glad to report that: Team SBCS fought valiantly; we did not back down! However, victory eluded us in both of our fixtures. The overall winner of the competition was Omardeen’s School of Accounting.

Student Services would like to thank our Team Manager – Dillon Gosien and Team Captain- Adrian Mohammed for their hard work in bringing the team together. Special thanks to staff member – Ackil Garraway who came out and displayed “real” skills with the bat and ball. Thanks for the determination of our All Fours and Tug-of-War teams! To the fans and supporters, thanks for your motivation & cheers!

We may not have any “silverware” to show, but quite likely Team SBCS and supporters had the most laughs and commentary i.e. “ole talk”! And with the 2013 cricket season around the corner, we are sure to grow from our humble beginnings.
