On Saturday, August 23, 2014 attention shifted to our Trincity and San Fernando campuses, where Orientation events were held simultaneously for the new cohort of the University of Sunderland, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Business Management (BABM) Top-up degree at SBCS. Staff and students gathered for the 2-hour event that proved to be not only informative for the attendees, but also rewarding for those lucky few who won SBCS tokens during the Q&A portion of proceedings.
Ms Esther Joseph-Charlerie (Trincity) and Mr. Dipnarine Ramlochan (San Fernando) initiated the event at their respective campuses, warmly greeting the participants and setting the tone for what was to come. They were ably complemented by their SBCS colleagues, who presented on various segments throughout the Orientation. Representatives of Course Administration (Corporate Education Centre), and Student Services shared on topics that gave the students an insight into student life at SBCS, and knowledge of programme details and support available to them throughout their study. Past SBCS BABM students were also invited to the event, and detailed their experiences for the consideration of their programme successors.
We thank all attendees for their time and attention at the Orientation sessions, and commit to providing the necessary academic guidance and administrative support for their success on the programme.
