On Saturday, May 21st, 2011, senior staff of SBCS held a meeting with our Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) lecturers, administrators and student representatives from each level of the CIPS programme, to discuss the structure and delivery of the programme. The lecturers made several valuable suggestions pertaining to the delivery and the marketing of the programme. They also noted that students sometimes underestimate the demands of the CIPS qualification. Suggestions were made as to how both lecturers and students could change this and therefore improve overall student performance.
Several points were brought to the meeting by the student representatives. All feedback from our students, both positive and negative, is greatly valued by SBCS and we were delighted that students took time out of their busy schedules to attend the meeting. SBCS was commended on the changes and improvements made to the CIPS programme over the years. Overall, the meeting proved to be very enlightening. Moving forward, it was agreed that that we will continue the diligent drive for improvement, with focus being squarely on delivering a truly excellent service to our CIPS students. There will be another meeting in 3 months.
